Abstract

This study investigates the role of the school environment in shaping the social behaviors of adolescents, focusing on key elements that influence social adjustment, the impact of peer interactions, and the significance of teacher-student relationships. Employing a The study reveals that physical aspects of the school environment, such as classroom design and safety measures, are crucial for fostering a sense of belonging and security, which in turn supports social adjustment. Peer interactions are identified as a significant factor, with positive relationships enhancing social skills and empathy, while negative interactions contribute to behavioral problems. Additionally, the quality of teacher-student relationships is found to play a pivotal role in influencing social behaviors, with supportive and respectful interactions leading to better social competencies. The findings underscore the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive school environment to promote positive social development among secondary school students. The study offers practical insights for educators, policymakers, and administrators seeking to enhance school environments and improve adolescent social outcomes.
