AN ASSESSMENT ON THE STUDENTS ATTITUDE TOWARDS ICT INTEGRATED LEARNING AT HIGHER SECONDARY LEVEL

Abstract

The use of ICT contributes to the creation of an imaginative classroom setting and the cultivation of fresh perspectives among pupils. Computer-based tools make it possible for students of any skill level to access a wide variety of materials, expanding the range of possible responses to students' questions. In this article an attempt has been made to study the Male student’s attitude towards ICT integrated learning at Higher Secondary level, to study the female students attitude towards ICT integrated learning at Higher Secondary level and to find out the difference between male and female in their attitude towards ICT integrated Learning. The present study involves both qualitative and quantitative data. Both primary and secondary data have been used in this study. This study consists of a sample of 100 students including male (50) and female (50) studying in the higher secondary level in different schools located in Birbhum. Samples have been selected randomly.Data has been collected by using a questionnaire entitled “Online Learning Questionnaire” used on 23/07/04 consisting of 26 items of 4point likert scale of Strongly Agree(4), Agree(3), Disagree(2) and Strongly Disagree(1).Collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and ‘t’ test. Findings of the study indicate that Male students’ attitude towards ICT integrated learning differ significantly from that of the Female students’.
